Amitabh Bachchan was born on 11 October 1942 in Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh. His father's name was Harivansh Rai Bachchan and was well-known a poet. Likewise, his mother's name was Teji Bachchan, and she worked as a social worker.
Amitabh Bachchan's parents initially named him Inquilab. Because the slogan of Inquilab Zindabad was very loud in that era of freedom struggle. But later on, at the behest of Sumitranandan Pant, a close friend of Harivansh Rai Bachchan named his son Amitabh. Which means a light that never ends
Amitabh Bachchan did his early education at St. Mary's School in Allahabad. After that, Amitabh Bachchan took admitted to Sherwood college, a very famous college in Nainital for further studies. Wherever Amitabh Bachchan used to participate in plays along with studies. After finishing his studies from Nainital, Amitabh Bachchan came to Kirori Mal College in Delhi, from where Amitabh Bachchan completed his graduation. In addition, Bachchan has done an M.A. twice.
After completing his graduation, Amitabh Bachchan searched for a job in many places in Delhi. But Amitabh Bachchan did not get any success and then on the advice of a friend, Amitabh Bachchan applied for a voice narration job at All India Radio. Unfortunately, Amitabh Bachchan was rejected from the narration job by saying an ugly and rough voice. Due to disappointment everywhere in Delhi, Amitabh Bachchan went to Calcutta with his friends where Amitabh Bachchan spent about 5 years of his life and worked in some private companies for very low salary. Somewhere in his mind, it was thought that he was probably made for acting. That is why in 1968 Amitabh Bachchan decided to try himself in films. For that Amitabh Bachchan moved to Mumbai.
Friends, you will remember that once Amitabh Bachchan was rejected from the narration job by saying that he has a rough and ugly voice. But coincidently Amitabh Bachchan begins his career as a voice narrator in the movie Bhuvan Shome. Later, due to his friendship with Rajiv Gandhi, Amitabh Bachchan did not have to face many difficulties in appearing in films. In 1969 Amitabh Bachchan got a chance in A. Abbas's film Saat Hindustani, but unfortunately the film could not make a splash at the box office. And flopped very badly, but in spite of this Amitabh Bachchan did not lose courage.
And then, Amitabh Bachchan got the opportunity to work in Bombay Talkie movie in 1970 and Parwan Movie in 1971. But both of these films could not be successful. Then in 1971, Amitabh Bachchan got a chance to work with superstar Rajesh Khanna in the "Anand" Movie. Then Amitabh proved his strong acting. For that acting, Amitabh Bachchan was given the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actor for this film. Then, slowly people started liking him, but his real success started with Prakash Mehra's film Zanjeer in 1973 after 13 films. where in this movie, Amitabh Bachchan played his first negative role. This film was the story of an orphan who sees his parents being murdered and grows up to become a police officer. This film helped Amitabh Bachchan to become a superstar overnight and people came to know him by the name of Angry Young Man.
It was from here that the success of Amitabh Bachchan's film career started and then Amitabh Bachchan entertained the audience with superhit films like Adalat and Amar Akbar Anthony. But suddenly on July 26, 1982, during the shooting of the film Coolie, Amitabh Bachchan suffered a severe injury in an action scene. In the shooting, Puneet Issar had to punch Amitabh, and then Amitabh had to hit the table and fell on the ground, but as soon as Amitabh Bachchan collide with the table, suddenly table edge hit his stomach and bled profusely. And the condition became so serious that it seemed that Amitabh Bachchan would no longer be able to survive.
But the efforts of the doctors and the prayers of his fans paid off and his treatment was successful. After that in 1983, his film became a super hit and became the highest-grossing film of that year. After the open injury, Amitabh Bachchan felt that he would not be able to do films anymore. That is why he extended his foot in politics.
But Amitabh Bachchan could not last long in politics and then in 1988 Amitabh Bachchan suddenly made a comeback with the movie Shasenshah. But after that Amitabh Bachchan was disappointed in many films and his career seemed to be over. But the movie Mohabbatein in 2000 proved to be very helpful in saving his sinking career. And his acting in the film was highly appreciated. Later, Amitabh Bachchan raised the flag of heights in the world of TV as well. The KBC i.e Kaun Banega Crorepati show hosted by him broke all the TRP records.
