Rashtriya Swatantra Party is a new political party founded by former journalist Rabi Lamichhane.On Tuesday (Ashar 7, 2079) afternoon, he announced plans and a policy program at the Rashtriya Sabhagriha.

The commitment of the Rashtriya Swatantra Party to improve the living standards of the Nepali people by fulfilling the aspirations of long-term peace, good governance, development, and prosperity as envisioned by the Constitution of Nepal while embracing the national sovereignty inherent in the Nepalese people, considering the interests of the nation of Nepal as paramount, and promoting a people-responsive, people-participative democratic state governance system. It was formed and registered with the National Independent Party Election Commission on June 17, 2079, with a public declaration on June 07, 2079.

Background of the formation of the Rashtriya Swatantra Party

Changes in the political system in Nepal have happened many times, but the Nepali people have not been able to realize the expected results from those changes. The promises and assurances given by the political parties and leaders who were said to be established in the country were limited only to assurances. Therefore, people's faith and trust in political parties and leaders gradually dimmed. Political parties became not for the people but only for their workers, and the leaders also became not for the people but only for the party (even factions within the party).

In this context, the Nepali people are in need of alternatives that focus on the issues of the people's livelihood of common Nepali people and work by understanding the people's needs. People are expecting such a system where they can live with self-respect. There should be an end to nepotism, favoritism, familyism, favoritism, factionalism, or sectarianism and proper appreciation of merit and ability. Laws should be obeyed, citizens should have access to justice, and state organs should work. Amidst this background, the National Independent Party was formed under the leadership of young people who are dedicated to Nepal and Nepali, with the commitment to give voice to the issues of the Nepali people, to contribute to the right of the Nepali people to eat and to love Nepal, with the support and inspiration of subject matter experts.

Principles of the Party - Constitutional Socialism

Establishing a society as envisioned by the Constitution of Nepal through the rule of law is constitutional socialism. It is not the time to make new promises, it is not the time to show new dreams, it is the time to fulfill the promises made in writing and the dreams shown.

What Rastriya Swatantra Party is doing?

1) We will not do any programs like Nepal Bandh, or Chakkajam, which will cause hardship to the people. We don't do violent movements. We do not damage personal property or public property under any pretext.

2) We do not collect opaque donations.

3) We don't "vaccinate" by ignoring the competition, merit, and ability.

4) We do not burn natural resources improperly.

5) We will not abuse the resources and power of the state under any pretext. We do not travel abroad unnecessarily and we do not spend state resources on medical treatment abroad.

6) We don't make unfair reminders against the national interest.

7) We don't do politics for politics.

8) We don't do any kind of discrimination and create hatred and incitement against any religion, sect, minority, or caste.

9) We do not form fraternal organizations.

10) We do not take any benefits from the state after retirement.

11) We do not stay in the same position for more than two full terms.

12) We will not bring the election losers to parliament or government in four ways.

13) We are not absent in the parliament as much as possible, if we are absent, we do not take allowance.
