Bruce Woodley reveals what he said during his final conversation with Judith Durham

Those closest to Judith Durham, lead singer of The Seekers, share memories of her life.

The well-liked performer passed away over the weekend at the age of 79 from complications caused by a chronic lung illness.

According to Bruce Woodley, he has lost a friend, a family member, and a coworker.

One of the things that stand out in my memory about her is that she was a warrior. She had a lung disease her entire life, which made her very, very strong-willed, he told Neil Mitchell.

She "practically worked on one lung power for all those years and still managed to walk out on stage with us every night and produce those beautiful vocals."

A few hours before Judith passed away, Mr. Woodley had a "great" talk with her.

I expressed my gratitude to her for being a part of both our long-lasting experience and my life.

When asked if the remaining Seekers members would play at Judith Durham's state burial, Mr. Woodley replies that he personally doesn't think it would be suitable.

He answered, "I believe we should maybe leave it at that. We're not there to try and replicate anything; we're there to try and honor our good buddy.
