Chabbi Raj Ojha is a well-known producer and director of Nepali movies. Additionally, he is recognized as the ex-husband of well-known Nepali actresses Rekha Thapa and Shilpa Pokhrel.

Ojha has produced and directed a large number of critically acclaimed and financially successful films throughout the course of his lengthy career in the Nepali film industry.

In 2016, Nepalese newspapers announced that Chabbi Raj Ojha was preparing to wed for a fourth time with Shilpa Pokhrel, a much younger Nepalese actress he had introduced to the Nepalese film business. In July 2019, it was clearly mentioned that Ojha and Pokhrel had been married for three years but had concealed their relationship in order to get ongoing attention for their relationships, which would help them promote their films.

Ojhas' wife, Silpa Pokhrel, reported him to the police in July 2019 for several physical assaults and domestic violence. According to medical records, Ojha beat a Pokhrel so brutally that she was suffering from hearing loss.

Pokhrel filed for divorce that same month, alleging domestic violence as the primary factor in their separation.

Early Life  of Chabbi Raj Ojha

Chhabi Raj Ojha was born in 1964 in the well-known city of Dharan in the eastern Sunshari District of Nepal, where he spent most of his early years. Ojha enrolled at a public college in the same city after earning his school leaving certificate (SLC) from the public school in Dharan, similarly, In 1979 from the same school Ojha pursue an intermediate in commerce (I.com) Degree.

But because his house was so close to Shiva Cinema Hall, a movie theater, he had become accustomed to viewing movies from a young age and didn't put much effort into his academics. In 1985, driven by a desire to work in the film industry, Ojha teamed up with a buddy named Khuber Sharma and launched a company called Laxmi Films.

Career and Struggle of Chabbi Raj Ojha In Film Industry 

Following a brief career as a movie distributor in Dharan, Ojha made the decision to relocate to Kathmandu in order to take his profession in the film business more seriously. He was successful in obtaining exclusive distribution rights for Deepak Raymajhai's film Bhagyarekha. However, the movie did poorly at the box office.

Ojha was only 24 years old as he prepared to take another jump. He took the decision to become a film producer. Ojha's debut film, Yug Dekhi Yug Samma, became a blockbuster and launched his career in the Nepali film business. Rajesh Hamal, one of the biggest stars in Nepali cinema, made his début in Ojha's first film.

Following Yug Dekhi, Yug Samma Several movies were produced and directed by Chabbi Raj Ojha, who also gave a dozen newcomers their start. Some of his protégés went on to achieve superstardom in the Nepali film industry.

Personal Life/ Relationship

The marriage of Chabbi Raj Ojha, which he married in 1984, lasted for 8 years until ending in divorce in 1992. After that, he began dating Gitanjali Sunuwar, a woman he met while shooting the film Nata. But a few years later, Sunuwar—who battles a number of depressive and mental health issues—committed suicide. Ojha has one son with Gitanjali and two boys from his first marriage.

After then, Ojha dated Nepali actress and model Rekha Thapa for twelve years after giving her a chance in the film industry by producing his own film Hero.

Ojha has claimed that the marriage ceremony was conducted in a conventional manner and that the pair really were married, whereas Rekha Thapa has frequently stated that the marriage was never officially recognized. The pair spent many years cohabitating, investing in and making movies together, owning a home together, and living together. Ojha and Thapa terminated their partnership in the summer of 2012. However, the news of their official divorce was finally made public in 2016.

Chabi has so far wed four different women. His spouses range in age from extremely young to very old. In fact, many are joking about how old his wives are compared to him. Many YouTubers have brought up the fact that he romances the fresh actresses he casts in his movies and marries them before the film is released.

 The fourth marriage of Ojha likewise does not continue for a very long time. Actress Shilpa Pokharel, Chhabi Ojha's wife, filed a police report accusing him of domestic abuse and several physical assaults in July of last year. She said that her spouse had abused her so severely that the agony had affected her hearing. Ojha wanted to come to an understanding with his wife Shilpa, but she refused to hear him out and filed for divorce at the Katmandu court.

The divorce case between Shilpa and Ojha was widely discussed at the time on social media. However, the story has recently gained attention once more, and according to Ojha Shilpa, she stopped the sale of all of his possessions by filing a lawsuit in court and requesting "mana chamal" as well. Ojha currently doesn't have a job and must borrow money from his friends and family to get by.
