Huma Qureshi celebrates b’day by cooking Gujarati delicacies for family
Huma Qureshi celebrated her birthday on Thursday by cooking up a frenzy in the kitchen of her loved ones, just like Tarla Dalal, the cookbook queen she plays in an upcoming biopic.
The actress, whose father owns one of Delhi's most well-known kebab shops, made the decision to try her hand at making some well-known Gujarati delicacies, including "dal dhokli," "khichdi," "thepla," and "bharela bhinda." I chose to cook together a lunch for my family, drawing inspiration from Tarla Dalal's recipes, the woman stated.
The actress remarked, when discussing her culinary career, "I have learned how cooking is an art that has to be developed over the years. I have immersed myself in the world of Tarla Dalal. Our lives would not be the same without food. Nothing compares to wholesome, home-cooked meals.
Huma praised Dalal for her contribution to cooking, saying: "She made cooking seem so simple and inspired everyone to practice this skill via her cookbooks and presentations. She democratized the craft and inspired everyone to pursue their passion for cooking.
The actress has two additional films scheduled for release this year and one early in 2019. The actress is excited about her first project, "Double XL," which also stars Sonakshi Sinha in one of the roles, as well as Netflix's neo-noir criminal comedy-drama "Monica, O My Darling," which was directed by Vasan Bala.
Huma will also appear in the second season of the popular Sony LIV program "Maharani," in which she plays the title character.
